The Suite Life of Zack and Cody: Sweet Suite Victory

The Disney Channel has continued to grow in popularity with children and preteens. Mostly known for the enormous success of the now-cult-hit cable TV movie High School Musical, their original series have continued to endure as some of the most popular TV series with young audiences. The sitcom The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, is now available to own on a second compilation DVD subtitled Sweet Suite Victory.

The Suite Life of Zack and Cody's basic plot deals with the aforementioned two twin brothers (real-life twins Dylan and Cole Sprouse), who live into a hotel suite at the Tipton with their lounge singer mom Carey (Kim Rhodes). Zack and Cody Martin regularly get into all sorts of mischief with pragmatic candy counter girl Maddie Fitzpatrick (Ashley Tisdale) and the hotel's chipper, yet airheaded heiress London Tipton (Brenda Song). By the end, they often make life miserable for hotel manager Marion Moseby (Phill Lewis).

The DVD compiles three choice episodes of the hit sitcom concerning the Martins and their friends often competing with each other due to their own opposite personalities. The first episode "Band In Boston", a Battle of the Bands contest is held at the Tipton Hotel, as Zack and Cody, along with friends Max and Tapeworm, compete against Maddie, who must deal with London's rather horrid singing.

In the second episode "Election", Cody runs for class president and Zack runs against him, with Maddie assisting the former's campaign and London assisting the latter's. And in the third episode "Not So Sweet 16", Maddie is having her Sweet 16 party at the Tipton, but London also decides to throw her own party there, while Zack, who openly pines for Maddie, tries to figure out what to buy her for the occassion.

Each episode is pretty self-contained, which makes it easy to dip in and out of. While the episodes here are less than what was contained on the previous compilation Taking Over The Tipton, the episodes picked continue to be excellent and show some the very best of the series and why children love it so much.

The episodes continue to offer the same amount of both fun and moralizing overall. However, the show's constant anarchically absurd mood prevents children from feeling they are being bludgeoned over the head, while adults are rest assured that the content is not at all offensively violent or sexual.

The DVD's picture quality is in the 1:33:1 full-screen aspect ratio of the original television broadcasts, with the sound is in Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround. The DVD is also packed with a pair of special features.

In the Backstage Disney section, there is a rather amusing gag reel of outtakes from the show's first season. Rounding out the special features, in the Games And Activities section, is the The Suite Life's Sweet Lift Challenge Set-Top

Trivia Game, which is a fun interactive game featuring cast member Brenda Song as host, as viewers are asked questions regarding the series and its cast.

As did Taking Over The Tipton, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody: Sweet Suite Victory is another excellent compilation of the hit comedy series which will surely please the young fans of the hit series and their parents.
